Antarctic Peninsula Discovery is a fully inclusive 9-night round-trip from Ushuaia aboard SH Vega (152 guests) or SH Diana (192 guests). Two days crossing the Drake, five days exploring the Peninsula's signature waterways — Gerlache Strait, Lemaire Channel, Mikkelsen Harbour — then two days back. The scale of the ship matters: boutique enough to land guests quickly, large enough to weather the Southern Ocean with grace. New for the 2026/27 season, expert-led snowshoe excursions extend landings beyond the standard shoreline.

Day 1
Embark in Ushuaia
Board your Swan Hellenic ship in Tierra del Fuego after an expedition briefing and welcome dinner.
Days 2-3
Drake Passage
Cross the Drake with seabird watches, lectures from polar specialists, and onboard preparation.
Days 4-7
Antarctic Peninsula
Weather-led landings through Gerlache Strait, Lemaire Channel, Mikkelsen Harbour and other signature sites — gentoo, Adélie and chinstrap rookeries, zodiac cruising, optional kayaking and snowshoeing.
Days 8-9
Return Drake
Recross with image reviews, naturalist recaps, and final lectures from the expedition team.
Day 10
Disembark in Ushuaia
Conclude the voyage in Ushuaia or extend with a Patagonia land programme arranged through 7CEI.
